The Chateau Elan Winery and Resort is a lovely accommodation in the heart of Braselton, Georgia. With French-inspired architecture, picture-perfect vineyards, world class dining, and a wide array of activities, the Château Élan Winery and Resort anticipates and caters to their guests’ every need.
I recently got the chance to stay at this wonderful resort, and it was a dream-like getaway. From the moment I drove up to the perfectly manicured property, it felt like I had been transported to another world – one filled with relaxation and entertainment. And this magical atmosphere continued throughout the rest of my stay at the Chateau Elan Winery
Explore the Winery
My first stop at the Chateau Elan Winery and Resort was the winery. After all, the rolling vineyards were one of the first features to catch my eye!
I quickly learned that the best way to explore the winery is by taking one of the three tour options. I opted for the Chateau Tour and Tasting, which exceeded my high expectations.
The skilled sommelier gave us an interesting explanation of the wine making process – from the vineyard to the production facility to the winery – and was happy to answer all my questions. To top off the experience, I got to sample half a dozen fantastic Chateau Elan wines – from malbec to cabernet. Needless to say, I purchased a couple of bottles of wine to take home with me.
Get Pampered at a Spa
Of course, there’s so much more to at the Château Élan Winery and Resort than just the winery. Another noteworthy spot is the spa. The Château Élan Spa is the perfect place to let go of all the worries and stresses of life. With the natural light and modern aesthetic, the spa boasts a serene environment that’s perfect for relaxation.
The Château Élan Spa offers a wide array of treatments, including massages, facials, manicures, pedicures and more. You can even make your trip to Château Élan an all-around wellness experience by combining the treatments at the Château Élan Spa with the resort’s indoor pool, health-focused meals, private yoga classes, and gorgeous nature trails.
Dine at One of the Restaurants
There are eight on-site restaurants at this lovely resort. These eateries serve up everything from authentic Irish pub food to upscale steakhouse dishes. My personal favorite restaurant was the Versailles Restaurant & Bar.
Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the French-inspired Versailles Restaurant & Bar offers an extensive selection of dishes. Regardless of what I wanted to eat, there was always a dish that fit the bill, whether it was the waffles with Chantilly cream and berries for breakfast, the merguez frites for lunch, or the seared seabass with bok choy for dinner.
Take a Culinary Class
There are many fun activities to enjoy at the Château Élan Winery and Resort. Mixology demonstrations, painting workshops, and the Pelz golf school are just the start. During my trip, I didn’t get the chance to enjoy them all, but I did get to attend a culinary studio.
During my culinary studio at the Château Élan Winery and Resort, my cooking skills were taken to the next level. With the guidance of a professional chef, I learned to make a restaurant-quality three course meal. My favorite dish was the roasted pork tenderloin with rosemary, thyme, and garlic. But since these culinary studios revolve around seasonal ingredients, you’ll likely learn to make a different dish, which means you’ll get a fun surprise!
